Greetings from Palermo Hollywood

No, we are not in Sicily. We are in a brew pub with Steve's good friend Marcos, spending a bit of time before meeting the delGiavanninos for dinner. Antares is the name of the pub. The neighborhood is a chic place. I swear, if it were not for Marcos, we would never go anywhere but Recoleta and the houses of our friends.

This place, like many in Buenos Aires, has free WiFi, so I am obnoxiously writing from the table.

Marcos and Steve went to MBA school together at Michigan. We had dinner with him last night (Ugh, I have the details at the hotel) and Marcos ensured that we went to my favorite heladeria, Volta. On a Thursday night at 1AM, the place was full. Gotta love this country.

Marcos expressed the concerns of any native, inflation (totally true), disappointment with the recent elections, but of course, I don't see that, I just see the places he takes us, full of life and wine and delicious food and crazy drivers. And also, for me, it is great to have my kid up at 1 AM an no one cares!

Anyway, I am being rude. Must go back to drinking this yummy stout. Wait, my glass is empty!
